- Leveraged arboricultural mapping software to increase sales/retention of new and existing clients. Hosted webinars and web based presentations as additional sales tools.

At Four Seasons Tree Care, our philosophy is simple. We believe that tree care can only be performed at an optimum level when handled by educated professionals. We believe so strongly in this principle that we have adopted “Rooted in Knowledge” as our Mission Statement. Our approach to trees extends beyond a simple bid process. To us, trees represent an intricate part of the community and should be approached with respect and finesse.

All too often we see trees treated as a means-for-profit. This approach often leads to improper pruning practices and unsafe working environments. To avoid this approach to trees, our workers are provided with education from ISA Certified programs to keep them on the cutting edge of tree trimming techniques. We believe there is no other way to approach trees than from an educated perspective. We will continue to broaden our education and pass our knowledge on to those we serve.

Operations Manager: Gulf Adventure Center at Gulf State Park

The Gulf Adventure Center at Gulf State Park (GAC) is the first Public - Private partnership in Alabama State History. The Gulf Adventure Center LLC is a For-Profit business that shares a portion of its revenue with the Alabama State Park System. This visionary business model is radically changing the way Alabama views it's Parks and natural resources. The Adventure Center opened its doors in March of 2013 and offers something new and exciting to the area - apart from the beach and strip malls - by providing the community with an opportunity to experience the Gulf Coast in a whole new way. On the surface, the mission of the GAC is to provide its participants with life changing, educational experiences by creating an environment which allows its guests to push outside their comfort zones and experience true growth both personally and intra-personally. However, the thrills of paddle boarding and flying 100 feet in the air are only the tip of iceberg.

Being that the GAC is in a Public - Private partnership with the Alabama State Parks, it gives the Park System an edge in protecting its natural resources. By providing the Park System with a steady stream of visitors and income, it brings awareness to the Park's thousands of under-utilized acres of land and helps subsidize costs for other parks within the State; thus, protecting them from falling prey to degradation and development. It is this idea that caught  my eye when considering the position.  While I have a deeply rooted passion for teaching and guiding, my concern for environmental awareness and conservation is what drew me down to the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast.

***I served as one of two Managers for the GAC. I managed a staff of 30 plus employees and my work included, but was certainly not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, conducting routine course inspections, and developing company-wide Standard Operating Procedures. Upon my arrival in February, I developed a business model that allowed for the GAC to far exceed its projections and become one of the most profitable ziplines/adventure recreation facilities in the country. Because of their great success, the GAC is now recognized as one of the leading companies in the industry and has become a model for other companies to build from. During my time here, I learned what it truly takes to lead a team of individuals, run a successful business, and have fun along the way.
